• Minnesota Showboat: More on the history of the Minnesota Centennial Showboat Links from the March-April 2020 issue Send in Your Comments! "Dredge Material Sites" (Big River, March-April 2020, Page 3) The plan’s preference was to expand the size of two sites the Corps has been using: on the upstream end of Latsch island and the downstream end of Homer, Minn. The sites have sold or offered free dredge material (mostly sand). Most of it has been used for fill at nearby construction sites. The demand has kept pace with the supply, so there has been no need to find a permanent site for the material. The Corps hosted a public meeting on the plan in Winona February 11, and is accepting public comments on the plan through April 10. (Deadline extended).
